"The Other Thanksgiving Story" by Randell Jones - reprise from 2020

The Pilgrims were two years too late to be first.

Americans chose an origin story for Thanksgiving involving eating over praying.

In keeping with the theme of this current American holiday, podcast host Randell Jones shares in this bonus episode the story of how the first day of thanksgiving by English-speaking settlers happened in Virginia two years before the Pilgrims had their celebrated day. This episode appeared three years ago on Nov. 25, 2020. “6minute Stories podcast wishes you and yours a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
