“His final act of kindness” cane about from a writing prompt from a writing class at the Carnegie Center for literacy and learning. We were asked to write a story about someone’s act of kindness. My mind drifted to the night we got the call about my husband’s sudden death and how it all unfolded. I am working on a book of poetry about struggling with grief and moving forward with my life and a fictional book about a tearoom, the many characters, connections and every chapter has a recipe that weaves its way into the chapter.
