Quick Summary of the Call for Personal Stories

QUICK SUMMARY OF Call for PERSONAL STORies - fall 2024

Here is the theme for the fall 2024 Personal Story Publishing Project.

Please write in 750-800 words a personal story resonating with our theme, “Foolhardy”—personal stories of derring-do, desperation, and disaster—or not.

These are personal stories of choosing and consequence when safety and satisfaction were at play.

No fiction. You may share a story of someone close to you or an ancestor whose story you know well.

Email your story as an attachment by June 30, 2024 to PersonalStoryPP@gmail.com . Please include your name and mailing address at the end of your story. A nominal reading fee (lower for earlier submissions) may be paid by mailing a check or paying online. (See "Books & DVDs" in the main menu. Click on the icon labeled "Personal Story Publishing Project - fall 2024" to add it to your cart. Pay on our secure commerce portal. See "Contact Us" for mailing address if sending check.)

Each of our collections includes 40-50 stories by as many writers. Writers may purchase copies at a discounted price. No purchases of books are required to be selected. We are interested in championing new voices and helping writers get their stories in print.

More details about the Call for Personal Stories are in the description on the page you left to read this summary.

Remember, you can get Personal Feedback on your story from a professional writing coach and book editor with 25 years of publishing experience. Optional. See the detailed description.
